Barnia Samabay Krishi Unnayan Samity (BSKUS) Ltd. is a primary agricultural cooperative society registered under the West Bengal Cooperative Societies Act and has long served as a financial lifeline for farmers in the Barnia region. More than just a bank, we are a community organization owned, managed, and driven by farmers themselves, working to free our members from dependence on moneylenders by providing low-interest credit and essential agricultural support. We focus on strengthening the rural economy through sustainable farming practices, financial awareness, and cooperative values, while maintaining close relationships with farmers to understand their real needs. Through timely loans, savings facilities, quality inputs, and practical guidance, we offer reliable financial and technical support under one roof. With transparent governance and active member participation, Barnia SKUS Ltd. continues to improve agricultural productivity, raise incomes, and promote self-reliance and prosperity for farmers across the Barnia region.

We are more than just a bank; we are a community organization owned by the farmers, run by the farmers, and working for the farmers. Our goal is to liberate our members from the clutches of money lenders by providing low-interest credit and essential agricultural inputs.

Our Mission

To provide timely and adequate credit to farmers for seasonal agricultural operations. To arrange for the supply of fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides at fair prices and financial support for non-agricultural activities. To encourage thrift and savings habits among members and Self Help Groups. To promote agricultural and allied activities for the economic development of our members and the community at large.

Our Vision

To transform Barnia into a model cooperative GP where every farmer is financially independent, technologically advanced, and socially secure. We aim to expand our services to include modern storage facilities and marketing support.
